Do you feel that you are unappreciated? Do you feel as though your eager and selfless contributions of time and energy are resented, disrespected and undervalued? Sadly, often people who are compulsively’ helpful are usually worse than unappreciated.

Here are some telltale signs you are ‘compulsively helpful’.

Are you proud that you have the strength to keep giving and giving? Would you ever describe yourself as compulsively giving? Do you sometimes seethe with anger when your friends or loved ones don’t do what you think they should do, after all you’ve done for them

Has anyone said to you, ” I can take care of this myself?” or “You’re spoiling him?” or “You’re teaching him to be helpless?” or “It’s their life, let them make their own mistakes?”

If you answered ‘yes’ to any of the above questions, you use ‘giving’ as a way of not dealing with your own life, or your own dreams. You might use it as a way of disguising your need to control others. You might believe you are only trying to be helpful, but you are really ‘controlling’!

Worse, this problem pretty much guarantees you won’t be treated well by others.

Why? Usually, it’s because deep down you know you’re using ‘giving’ as a way of not dealing with your own life, your own dreams. Giving can be a way of disguising from yourself your desire to control and interfere with others. You may believe you’re just being helpful. But in reality, you are perceived by others as having unacknowledged motives.

Have you been betrayed after giving to others for quite a while? In a passive-aggressive way others may be showing you that your giving may not be nearly as selfless as you might think.

Does giving give you a lift?

This might be a hushed power or energy-grab. Imagine being on a date with someone who opens the door, pulls out your chair for you, hands you your napkin, orders for you, and also reaches over to wipe your mouth while you eat. You would probably feel insulted at being treated like an incompetent child.

Can you imagine how your own giving may actually be a means of making yourself feel needed or useful? Or being ‘one-up’ on others? This might actually make others feel undermined, insulted and eventually resentful.

What to do about it?

You’ve probably heard it before.

1. LET GO OF OTHERS to be embraced wholeheartedly and loved by others. If you are truly a compulsive giver, you really do want the best for others.

2. Start to really live your fullest life. Reclaim your forgotten dreams and goals.
Re-align your spirit with those goals so that you can manifest and live them.

3. Let your dreams begin to breathe again. Open yourself and allow yourself to receive your true good in living your own life. Let others find their own path to their lessons, dreams and life purpose.

Who would have thought so much could come from giving so much less?

The Anointing has increased in my life and so has the responsibility. Here is a simple article as to why God would increase your anointing.

I bought a book once by Benny Hinn on the Anointing and I bought it as I wanted to learn about it and have it in my life. I might not have been ready to receive the information and have since given the book away but when I read it, I didn’t seem to learn anything.

I once heard a guy that come to a church I was attending and he talked about the anointing. He said something simple. He said:

The Anointing is simply: The Power to Do the Job

Now depending on how BIG the job you have to do is, that measures how much of the Holy Spirit’s anointing is in your life. I have realized in the past three months the Anointing in my life has gone up.

Each week 2000 people read something I have written in the Internet on EzineArticles or somewhere else. There is an Anointing of the Holy Spirit on everything I write and there exists and Anointing in my life as I write the things that I write.

I also manage a team of prophetic people and we do free prophecies on the Internet. For a few years they came in at a rate of about twenty requests per week and now in the last three months that figure has shot up to forty five requests per week.

With this increase I have had to promote a team leader and mentor her to run a team of prophets like me to cater to this demand. In these three months I have noticed the Holy Spirit has increased my Anointing in my life.

I am finding people I know want to sit down and have a long chat with me in the past few months. As a prophet I am fairly intense and people kind of give me a wide birth and yet some of the people I have forged a relationship with are starting to want to spend quality time with me.

This is a sign to me that they really want to hear what the Holy Spirit wants to say through me. As now quite a lot these days in an hour conversation the Holy Spirit directs the conversation for me to say what God wants me to say to each person.

When you understand that the Anointing is the Power to Do the Job you have to decide to get busy for God for Him to increase the Anointing in your life. For God to increase His Anointing in your life there has to be a reason, so first of all if you want it to increase you need to decide what you want to do for God in a bigger way and go after it.

It’s wonderful to have the presence of God and when you worship you can feel the presence of God. But it’s quite another thing for the Anointing of God to come upon you when you are in a conversation and the person that is listening is so transfixed at what is being shared they simply can’t leave until the message is shared in its entirety.

Now the Holy Spirit of God knows every persons timetable and if they have to really go and get back to work or if they can take and extra half an hour for lunch to listen. The Holy Spirit knows when that certain person who really needs to hear what He has to say through you is going to have the time and the Anointing will only drop on you the time that they need to stay.

I have heard people say the Anointing is addictive. Benny Hinn seems to talk about the Anointing a lot as I have heard him talk about it. It is simply the power of the Holy Spirit and it should be respected and not talked about in any cheap way. But I have heard on a few occasions people say the Anointing is addictive.

I can testify when I sit down to prophesy over a person that I really enjoy God speaking though me and I love the wonderful peaceful blanket that seems to come all over me.

But we all have the Holy Spirit and it is my aim to speak to you if you don’t know much of the Power of God to get a bit of that into your life. If you want more of the Holy Spirit, why don’t you get serious with God and ask Him what can you do for Him

I know that we need people to prophesy on our teams on my website and I know that we can pray for you to get the gift of prophecy. I know also that we need intercessors on our website that can pray over the prophecies that are done and if you are good in prayer, then we can use you.

But that’s just me throwing a few ideas out there for you. I am sure if you put your mind to it you can come up with something to do for the body of Christ.

Just remember you have to get busy for God for Him to give you the Power.

It’s no use having a Powerful car in a garage. It’s no use God increasing the Power of His Anointing of His in your life if you are not going to do a job for Him.

“George W. Bush, the U.S. President, is prone to bouts of crying caused by the stress of his job and claims to have seen ghosts emerge from the Lincoln bedroom in The White House, according to a new book on his Presidency.” (Sheldon Alberts, “The Ottawa Citizen” published: Wednesday, September 05, 2007)

I love the idea of ghosts and the thought that someone I once loved is not gone forever, but can still see me and be with me. I will never be lonely with the knowledge that someone dear is always nearby.

There are many tales of spirits, hauntings and visions such as the story of Karen on the website “About.Com”(paranormal.about.com):

As Karen attempted to cross the street while walking home one night, she felt a strong hand grip her shoulder, “This hand not only pulled me back on to the sidewalk,” Karen says, “but was strong enough to land me on my posterior on the sidewalk. When I glanced around me, I caught a glimpse of a light blue, periwinkle-colored dress with tiny white flowers.” The grip was strong enough to cause her to fall on the sidewalk and, at that moment she saw a car whizzing around the corner at a dangerous speed. Whoever had grabbed Karen clearly saved her life, but as she looked around she did not see any body there. She returned home and told her mother what had happened. As she described the periwinkle dress her mother amazed her by telling her that her grandmother indeed did have such a favorite dress with white flowers. Karen had never known her maternal grandmother as she had died when her own mum was just a child. She had been convinced that night that her Gran’s spirit saved her life.

Sir William Barrett, a Professor of Physics at the Royal College of Science in Dublin published a book in 1926 called “Death Bed Visions”. He discovered during his research that children often claimed angels had appeared by their sick bed. Many of these children thought the angels were still living, but it was generally discovered later that these were visions of people who already died. The angels as they were described by the kids did not have wings, which poses the question, if these were just an imaginary illusion why wouldn’t a child see the angels as described in literature and depicted in art, that is with large white wings? According to the “Journal of the Society for Psychic Research”, there have been documented cases of apparitions being witnessed by other people standing in a dying person’s room.

Another interesting anecdote is the one of “Katie King” channeled by London born Miss Florence Cook (1856-1904). She materialized in 1872 during a séance as a death like face amongst curtains and within a year perfected her “visits”. She would wonder around the house and would even sleep with her medium. When Miss Cooke married, the situation became a little complicated, as you would imagine.

As a child I had an imaginary friend. Every one would smile and comment on how cute it was, but to me “Maureen” was real. She was a Mum who talked to me and gave me the attention my own mother was not always able to provide.

Carole Lynne is a medium. At around age four, I used to sit at and stare at my hand for hours. I would think, “Is this my body now?” I had no knowledge or interest in spiritual matters back then. Have I been here before? Those who believe in reincarnation would attest to this.

There has been ample research done on what happens after we die but, let’s face it we are not really going to find out until it happens to us. Having said this there are accounts and, in some cases photographic evidence, of some kind of ethereal presence in different places and at different times.

One day, while sitting on my couch feeling deeply upset about something I sensed someone sit next to me and I caught a glimpse of a man dressed in an old fashioned house coat. I had never seen him before and he did not resemble anyone I knew. It was a very peculiar albeit peaceful sensation to have this individual materialize in my lounge room. I somehow knew he was not there to harm me.

Carole Lynne says,” When the world of spirit needed to let me know that I was a medium, I had incredible experiences: saw spirits, had spiritual dreams and waking visions. This was the way that spirit knocked on my door. It took me a while to get used to the idea that I was seeing spirits. I became very emotional about it, but ultimately accepted that if I had been given this gift, I needed to use it and do readings for people.”

If spirits are among us, what are they doing here? “Most of the spirits I communicate with seem to find it easy to be with their loved ones who are still living in physical bodies, and within their own spiritual realm: all at the same time. This leads me to believe that what we call “the spirit world” may be another realm that interpenetrates our reality…” claims Carole Lynne. What about haunted places?

“These spirits are often earth bound and don’t realize that they need to cross over to the other side. They exist like this when their souls are not prepared to leave the earth plane this often happens in cases of suicides and sudden deaths.”

“Spirits often appear to me as they have messages to deliver either to myself or my clients. I sometimes only get a sense of the spirits personality or hear clairaudiently the messages they have to deliver. Other times I see them as clearly as I do the living but they always have an aura or a bright light around them. The situation is not frightening as I have never encountered a spirit who as wished to harm myself or anybody else” says Francis.

Francis claims that spirits are indeed around us but cannot always assist us, “They can also see the outcomes of our actions but can do nothing to prevent us from making mistakes as we must learn our own lessons.”

Where is it that these entities are supposed to go? The white light has been what a lot of people, who have experienced NDES (near death experiences) have been drawn to.” For me, light is truth, and so when a person is passing over, they begin to see the true reality of creation: light,” says Carole Lynne.

I am still trying to bring my old fashioned gentleman back and I wish I could communicate with him this time.

Carole Lynne believes in an open mind,” Most people can see visions of their loved ones by opening their hearts and their minds. If they allow themselves to be intimidated by skeptical relatives, it will harder for them to be open to seeing spirit.”

Francis uses his psychic gifts to attune to spirits, “Once we start to learn to still our minds and allow our ESP and intuition to work it opens up a whole new spectrum of possibilities for us. For anybody who wants to learn how to do this I run courses and I have also written a book”.

As far as the above-mentioned Miss Cook, some say that she was a fraud, but each researcher left very sketchy evidence to their findings. It is not certain whether the mysterious entity Katie King has ever existed on earth, but she has allegedly appeared in séances in 1903 in Canada and 1974 in Rome.

Depending on where or how you celebrated the New Year, Auld Lang Syne is a song engrained in everyone’s mind. And even though people aren’t sure what it means and don’t know all the words, it sounds both sad and soothing. It’s a song about loss, but also about love — a hope that you’ll see the same people you love next year.

The song recalls the days gone by and says we will always remember them. “Should auld acquaintance be forgot?” it asks. No, the chorus replies: “For auld lang syne (for times gone by), we’ll tak (drink) a cup o’ kindness yet.”

You might recall events from that time or situations. Don’t evaluate, analyze or otherwise snoop at the energy. Notice accomplishments you’ve forgotten already.

Using a imaginary swiffer or broom, start to collect up places where you left some of your energy. You might see something in your mind’s eye, and you might not. It’s ok – it’s working no matter what. Be amused with what you do or don’t see. And, whistle while you work. You are reclaiming your energy from both positive and negative events, situations, people and places.

Without effort, continue clearing off the month until you get the sense that it is clear. Then, blow up your clearing tool. If your swiffer or broom stops – it’s cause it’s full. So, just destroy it and a new one. Make sure you have collected up all the purple energy off the month.
Now, recharge the month with neutral golden energy. Visualize filling up the month with a Golden Sun. Now, replenish yourself with your own energy by visualizing a giant Golden Sun above your head. Imagine that it recalls your energy magnetically from places you left it. Then, reach up and pull it into your body and the energy that surrounds the body.

Harness Your Intuition

So how do you learn to harness your amazing intuition? Your intuition sends you information in the following five different ways:

1. The most common is physically.

In receiving information through your physical body, you might explain intuition as having a “gut feeling” or “your stomach is in knots.” Another popular way is when the hair stands up on the back of your neck. For me, a strong message of awareness is goose bumps.

2. Secondly, and probably more common to women is emotions.

We know instantly when something doesn’t feel right, or a mood changes, and a fast like and dislike of something.

In our world today we are often feel pressured to “do something, join something, or buy something” and we intuitively know we should say “no!” – yet we go ahead. Moving forward on this decision often brings regrets. When our first instinct is to reject something, we often cannot explain “why” to someone. To us, it just didn’t feel right. This is intuition in action and working for you.

3. Thirdly, we receive information mentally: Our mind often gives us a second voice in the background that says: “No, yes, turn here, etc.” Again, we often ignore our intuitive voice and find ourselves caught in a traffic jam or something to that effect. We constantly second guess ourselves and regret listening to that inner voice later.

4. The fourth way we receive is spiritually. For me, this means there is something far greater than us in the universe. When we are connected to this Source, our intuition is greater than anything we can imagine.

5. Lastly, we receive through the environment. I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason. From my childhood, I was taught to pay attention to symbolism and events as messages being given to us.

For example: Your computer ups and quits and you are forced to stop working and look after the problem. Now this can cause stress, but I also know that it happened for a reason and I was being told to stop what I was doing. Perhaps you are given a sign to take some time off to do something you may have been putting off for a long time, like updating your insurance policies or call a sick friend. Maybe, it’s time to call and connect to a real cute “techie” support guy. I just know that it does not pay to get upset, but instead to ask yourself, “Why and what do I need to look at or do?

So how do we harness out intuition more? I like to say that finding your intuition is like finding a trail. In this case the T.R.A.I.L (an acronym) represents the following:

T-Trust the information you get when you get it. -Try to think back to times when you did pay attention to your intuition and recall what you experienced. As you recall your success’s, you will eagerly and confidently trust your ability and inner voice more and more to make the correct decisions for you.

R-Relax your mind: Make “why not and what if?” two of your favorite questions. Give yourself time to do crossword puzzles, and play more games to keep your mind open to new things and ideas. Meditation is very powerful in helping you hear your inner voice and to relax more.

A- Awareness- Intuition can be so subtle that we often miss its messages, so live your life consciously and be more aware of your thoughts. We cannot s hear our intuition speaking if we do not learn to stop the chatter in our mind or find some quietness. Suggestion- shut off the radio, CD player and stereos when you are alone in the car or at home, so you can hear your inner voice better.

I- Imagination- this is the ability to think outside the box, which is very helpful in developing your intuition. Here are a few ideas:

• When you get dressed each day, ask your self why did you choose the red suit or the blue dress? Colors carry energies and we choose them because we need its energy at that time. You ask yourself what that color means to you. Does red make you feel confident, powerful, relax and assured? Does the blue make you feel more feminine, softer, more attractive and perhaps serene and peaceful?

L-Listen: – intuition is not logical. If we are caught up in our lives we cannot give our intuition a safe place to work and hear its message.

Have you noticed that if you let go of ego, fears, or any negative thoughts, you get better results with hearing your intuition?

Intuition is a wonderful and natural sense that we all have, and if you think about it, you couldn’t stop being intuitive this moment any more than you could stop hearing the sounds around you. Simply allow yourself to report what you’re picking up in response to a question. Be in a state of allowing and see the miracles happen!

There is a lot of mystic hype to meditation. Most people associate meditation with some kind of a cult practice that is specific to the eastern culture.

In reality meditation is a practice that is conducive to good health and to a healthy spiritual life. It is a channel through which the mind transcends to a deep state of relaxation and awareness and connects with the inner self.

Besides certain misconceptions that surround it, many people are still in the dark with regards to meditation and therefore it comes as no surprise then that people are hesitant and skeptical about practicing meditation and the multitude of benefits that come from it.

Given below are four common myths surrounding meditation;

Myth: Meditation is a religion.

Truth: Nothing can be more further away from the truth than this. Yes, while meditation is basically a spiritual discipline and it is based on certain religious doctrines it does not completely adhere to a specific religion, nor is it used as a means to entice a person of a different faith to join in worship.

It can be likened to a prayer, or a form of worship but it doesn’t tell you who to pray to or worship. Most religions across the world practice meditation in one form or another.

Myth: Meditation is an escape route from truth and reality of life.

Truth: Meditation is about facing reality in all its truth. It does not make escape artists out of its practitioners, nor does it paint picture-perfect scenes to trick the mind from what is real. Truth more often than not is ugly, especially that truth is within us and meditation teaches us to face that reality regardless of how crude it may seem

Myth: Meditation is strange and bizarre.

Truth: There are a few meditation practices that claim or promise certain psychic abilities upon practicing it. Some of these even claim that their followers have gained certain clairvoyant powers. But meditation in its simplest form is basically a mind exercise. It does not require one to be in a trance to achieve a deep state of relaxation and awareness.

Myth: Meditation is egocentric.

Truth: True meditation is best practiced alone or in the confines of a room, it certainly does not mean it is a means to shut the mind to the world outside. Meditation is about opening the doors of the mind and the soul to our own worst fears and conflicts. It facilitates a deeper understanding of the self with respect to external influences both tangible and non tangible.

Meditation is a means to help overcome negative thoughts and feelings and combat certain afflictions of the mind like stress and depression that can fester in our minds and create handicaps in our lives. Like a mirror it reflects our flaws and shortcomings and provides us with the tools and opportunity to repair the damage.

How can drawing increase your psychic intuition? First, let’s understand this from the point of how drawing functions as a brain exercise.

It is capable of drawing insights that come from non-linear, multi-dimensional mode of brain exercise.

On the other hand, the left side of the brain excels at verbal, analytical, rational and logical tasks. It’s the dominant buddy of the right-brain, taking over most of the brain’s normal activities, especially when you are at serious work. It is the master of planning and systematic works. It has a penchant for using words to describe and define, figuring things out step by step, drawing conclusions based on facts and logic, and thinking in a linear way.

Despite being a linear thinker that has limited scope of thinking, the left-brain takes over most of our daily tasks. Only in situations when it finds a particular job undesirable, or if a certain task takes too much time, is too detailed or slow or simply too difficult, then the left side gives up.

If you want the right-brain, which is more creative and intuitive, to be involved more in your thinking process, you must create chances for it to participate. The trick is to present tasks in a way that discourage the left-brain, and hence create opportunities for the right-brain to demonstrate its capability.

When you engage in drawing, you create the chance for the right-brain to gain dominance. If you do it regular as a hobby, drawing is a powerful brain exercise that can increases your psychic intuition.

More Advance Way To Develop Your Psychic Intuition

One technique designed by Dr. Betty Edwards to develop subconscious intuitive power through drawing, is to draw with your non-dominant hand looking at images that are upside down.

The rationale is: This puts the left brain in a state of confusion so that it can’t easily decipher shapes, lost its top-bottom orientation, unable to attach labels and categorize them to match stored memories. This process creates an opportunity to integrate your right-brain and allows it to become dominant. When presented with a confusing image, the left-brain gives up and the right-brain takes over.

Question 1 : What exactly is “Energy Correction” ?

Human beings, like all objects, receive different levels of energies from the 8 different directions. When all the 8 directional energies are positive enough, they get positive results. When the energy levels dip below a limit, they suffer. For example, if a person receives high positive energy from his North, he will be financially well off. But if he also receives negative energy from his South East, he will never be able to enjoy it. The blue print of the energy levels of a person at his birth time is what you could call as his Birth Horoscope.

These 8 energy streams control the 7 Chakras and 7 Energy Bodies of the person, which in turn control every thing else in his life. The quality (positive or negative) of the energy and the quantum (percentage) of the energy that a person receives is his Karma or Destiny. The concept of correcting the 8 Directional Energies and tuning the 7 Chakras & Energy Bodies of a person so that he stays within a 100% positive energy belt all his life-time is called Personal Energy Correction.

Question 2 : Can you explain more about these Energy Beams from the 8 Directions ?

Energy (or Prana or Chi) is pure and on it’s own, is always balanced positive. It is the basic power brick on which the Cosmos is built upon. However, depending upon the Karma of the Person, Land and Building, it/he receives energy either as positive or negative. Then the percentage of the positive or negative energy that it/he receives culminates in positive or negative events of it’s/his life. Unlike Land and Building, the Person moves. It does not matter what direction he is moving or facing, it does not matter whether he is in India or America, he keeps receiving the same Energy Beams with the same Quality (Positive or Negative) and Quantity (Percentage), until the change is destined or brought about.

Question 3 : You spoke of Horoscope & Karma. Are you saying that both can be rectified ?

Yes ofcourse. All the Planetary Energies are received by a person through the 8 Directional Energies only. I Am The Vine You Are The Branches

Jesus spoke about being the vine and His Father being the vinedresser, but what does that mean to us? And what is this being pruned mean and those not being fruitful being cast into the fire? What does that mean? Find out in this article.

1 “I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. 2 Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. 3 You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. 4 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.

5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. 6 If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. 7 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. 8 By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.

The Lord Jesus spoke often about His Father and in this teaching after he had taken the last supper he went on to share this. After sipping of wine, that is made from the fruit of the vine, Jesus went on the say that He is the vine and that we are the branches and His Father he God of heaven and earth is the gardener, or vinedresser as He calls him here.

It is interesting to contemplate that we are part of a garden and somehow all of creation is tended by the loving Father. It is comforting to know that the Father is in control and the same Spirit that was with Jesus on earth is with us.

Jesus as the vine bore great fruit and His teachings, His commands form a basis for what we need to abide in. Jesus tells us how we are going to abide in His love.

John 15:. 9 “As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. 10 If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.

2 Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away.

The average Christian is not open to God taking away branches. This verse clearly states that some branches are going to be taken away by the Father.

Which branches?

The branches that do not bear fruit.

Bearing fruit is more then going to church on Sundays and its more then going to Bible study on a week night. John said a person that does not obey Jesus and says that they know Him is a liar.

1 John 2: 3 Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. 4 He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

John goes on to say that a person that abides in Jesus acts like Jesus Himself.

1 John 2: 6 He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.

Bearing fruit would then seem to be a person that is obeying the commands of Jesus and walking and acting like Jesus in their day to day life.

and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit.

The process of getting better at abiding in Jesus, the process of becoming a better person that is more productive of Jesus includes pain. Pruning is a temporary pain at best, a long pain at worst, but pruning is necessary to grow good moisture rich fruit.

The Christian life can be hard to endure. Too many people it seems are being led to Jesus of late without being told of the cost that Christian life is going to take on their life. James has this to say.

James 1: 2 (NKJV) My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. 4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.

James 1:2 (NIV) Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. 4Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

In the New King James version the trials when they have had their full work on us make us perfect. In the NIV this is said to be mature.

Both mature and perfect speak of fruit that is good fruit and ready to be picked by the vinedresser and used in His harvest.

So many people buck at trails and they are not fun when you are in the midst of them, but James the brother of Jesus knew all about trials and he didn’t write this for a joke but as consolation. The only way to maturity and perfection in your faith is through trials which are in Johns account of Jesus’ teaching here is pruning.

God knows what He is doing in your life. He really does!

Nothing catches God by surprise! If you are going through a hard time like I am at the moment, you can rest and be assured that God knows what He is doing in your life and will complete His perfection in you and mould you into what He wants you to be.

Are you achieving things for God? Are you bearing fruit? Get ready some trials are on the way.

3 You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.

Jesus cleaned the disciples by speaking the Word of God to them and uses this language to say that they had been washed in the Word.

4 Abide in Me, and I in you.

Many people are afraid of getting or being possessed by demons. But here I have a strange concept for you. Imagine being possessed by the Holy Spirit? Imagine your own flesh and carnal mind being crucified and the Holy Spirit being dominant in your life and every move and every thing you did was motivated by the Spirit of God and acted on by the anointing of the Holy Spirit.

I have met a guy that was like that. From the morning when he left his room for breakfast till the time he left us and went to bed he was anointed and led by the Spirit in everything he did and said. This comes from three hours that he spends every morning with the Lord. And the less sleep he gets the more anointed he is. On a Sunday in Jakarta he has been know to preach seven different sermons in seven different churches and has spent the whole Saturday night up in prayer. Meeting this guy, a modern day apostle is second only to meeting Jesus himself.

Do you abide in Jesus? Is He with you each day?

As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.

Abiding in the love and the presence of Jesus through obedience and walking in the Spirit we produce much fruit. If the Spirit of Jesus is leading you, if you are in constant daily, hour by hour contact with Jesus then you cannot help but bear fruit.

Without Jesus we cannot do nothing.

Well nothing worthwhile. A lot is being done in the name of Christ, but only Jesus will be the judge of what stands in the last day. Some people’s works will be burnt up by the fire, some people will have wood, some silver, some gold.

Abiding in Jesus is the answer. Obeying Jesus is the key to abiding.

6 If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned.

I don’t often meet branches that have been thrown out by God and thrown into the fire, but I read “A divine revelation of Hell.” By Mary Baxter and many Christians can be found in the fires of hell. I presume this is the fire Jesus is teaching of here. They may coast along in the fleshy un regenerated Christian life, not abiding in Jesus as much as they are abiding in the world and its pleasures and when they die they simply do not go to heaven as they expect to go.

A friend of mine had a vision of a whole lot of people lining up at these two great doors in suits and ties and skirts and blouses, all well dressed and they were all eager to get through the doors. The doors were opened and on the other side was the fires of hell. She said that she was really worried that many Christians were not going to heaven and yet they lived a life that was in expectancy.

In the Book of Revelation it speaks of two harvests. There is a harvest for the righteous where all of them are going to get saved and go to heaven, then there is a harvest of the wicked where the angels of the Lord are going to cast people into hell. This is the withered branches, the ones that did not abide.

7 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. 8 By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.

Your prayer life will be transformed when you learn to abide in Jesus as whatever you ask for the Lord will answer so that His Father is glorified in you and the answers to your prayers. It is important to be asking for things that Jesus wants for your life and not selfish things, not things that please your flesh.

Do the Lord’s words and His commands abide in you?

The first step is to determine an individual’s strong sense. We have three modalities that are primary in gathering, storing, and recalling information – visual, auditory, and kinesthetic. While we each have all three at our disposal, we use them in a hierarchy of preference.

The Dead Feed on You

Ancestors, the ‘pitras’ of pitraloka of the vedic tradition or the ‘manes’ of ancient Roman civilization, or quite simply the dead forefathers and relatives are the dead-alive, but not at all well where they are. Once a year during a specific time period these souls come to the earth to get relief from their sufferings. Why the Dead Feed on the Living

The living get their material body and the capability of self-improvement karmicly both in the spiritual activity zone and the material. The living owe their bodies to the ancestors–this ‘body-debt’ is a fact of life.

The dead ancestors in their ‘pitra’ body are in a half-way house, receiving punishing reactions to their activities done in their previous physical body. In these bodily forms they have a very limited capability of satisfying their senses and bodily needs. They constantly suffer from heat, cold, hunger, thirst, tiredness, pain and can only get some relief during the shradh period, which is equivalent to a once-a-day event in their time zone. The pitras collect their ‘body-debt’ from their descendants during this time.

How this works

To understand this, we can start by briefly looking at ourselves, our bodies and our nature.

  • The human body changes over time, with cells being constantly replaced so that at some point there is a complete change of bodily cells and body. This is a biomedical observation.
  • Within the body the human consciousness of self-identity does not change over time unlike the physical body. In other words we are always conscious that we are the same individual, even though our bodies are changing over time. Every person who has ever been alive has this awareness. This is universal observation.
  • This, then, is conclusive scientific evidence that the consciousness-identity of the individual (’I am’) does not change while the body constantly changes. The consciousness is always moving through changing bodies even in this lifetime.



  • Next, there is no evidence whatsoever to show that the consciousness dies when the material body dies. It is logical then, that the unchanging nature of the consciousness would continue even when we cannot track the journey of the consciousness by our limited senses.   • Clearly, the consciousness is of a stable or ‘immortal’ nature–also connected to the essential living entity that is the source of consciousness. Essentially, the consciousness moves through changing bodies, and when the body finishes, it continues to another body or to a body which is in many ways more limited–such as the pitra body.

Where there is a tradition of making offerings to the dead pitras through priests and other similar category of persons, the dead ancestors are relieved and able to part with their accumulated good fortune. One can also make offerings to the hungry, the handicapped and the poor in the name of the dead ancestor for benefits.

Things TO DO during Shradh

  1. Feed a hungry person every day, especially giving them foods that your dead ancestor liked, if you know what that is. When feeding that person you can tell them or mentally state the name of the dead ancestor on whose behalf you are making this donation of food.

Things NOT TO DO during shradh

  1. Do not accept invitations to eat as a guest of anyone during this period. This is because doing so at this time creates a special ’salt-debt’ to your host. Your host’s ancestor may follow this salt-debt trail and attach itself to you–feeding off your energies. Eating out where you pay for your meal is fine during this time.
  2. Do not eat meat, eggs, fish, alcohol, intoxicants etc. The pitras love to feed on these energies and will bring many other unrelated ghosts as well to dine off you if you do eat these things!
