Many of Philip K. Dick’s stories have been made into films, including “Blade Runner” which was based on the novel “Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?” and “Total Recall” which was based on the short story “We Can Remember It for You Wholesale.” Steven Spielberg’s 2002 adaptation of “The Minority Report,” starring Tom Cruise, was based on the short story written in 1956.

It’s been my experience that the book is usually better than the movie so after seeing the film I decided to read the original story which takes place in a future where mutant beings with precognitive abilities aid a pre-crime police force in apprehending criminals for crimes they would have committed in the future.

They’re then exiled or sent to detention camps. Murder has pretty much been eliminated. Of course the criminals complain that they haven’t done anything but this is brushed off on the grounds that they presumably deserve it. When Anderton, the top cop, is accused of murder he thinks there’s been a mistake or he’s been set up. He begins to wonder if there’s something wrong with punishing people for things they haven’t done yet. If he can’t discover who set him up he will fall victim to the system he helped create.

Some plot points are changed. For example the three precogs in the movie are portrayed peacefully but in the story they’ve been drugged and they’re forced to use their psychic abilities. But Spielberg kept the basic theme of the story and made it into a thrilling sci-fi adventure. It’s a great movie, the technical aspects are well-done, the special effects are out-standing and the acting is superb.

But I would definitely recommend reading the original story for Dick’s vision which was way ahead of its time and surprisingly up to date in spite of being over fifty years old. The edition I chose – THE MINORITY REPORT AND OTHER CLASSIC STORIES – contains eighteen stories in total. It’s not a best of collection, it’s actually volume four of his collected short stories and it spans the period between 1954 and 1964, but it’s a good representation and a must for serious collectors.

His work is imaginative, surreal and often downright strange. Dick writes about people rather than technology and science. His characters seem like ordinary people, but bizarre things happen to them. The complex plots take twists and turns and sometimes they seem like episodes of the Twilight Zone.

His future worlds are often dystopian societies characterized by misery, oppression and despair, where people lead dehumanized lives. Yet he often incorporates humor in his stories. Many of them involve precognition and themes of false reality. Others deal with the fine line between man and machine and ask – What is humanity?

This is a great edition for fans, collectors and those who enjoy short stories rather than novels. If you are only familiar with Philip K. Dick from the movies based on his work you owe it to yourself to pick up a copy.

A brief synopsis of each story follows.

AUTOFAC takes place in an apocalyptic world where robots (autofacs) work for the surviving humans. But when humanity discovers they can’t shut down the robots they are reduced to stealing supplies in order to live.

SERVICE CALL is a time travel story. A service man from the future visits the past to try and stop an invention that control’s people’s thoughts.

In CAPTIVE MARKET a woman travels through time to sell her goods to a colony of men building a ship to leave a radioactive Earth. When her customers tell her they’re leaving and won’t need any more merchandise she tries to keep them from going.

In THE MOLD OF YANCY a totalitarian society is being brain washed by broadcast messages from John Yancy, a composite man who doesn’t really exist.

In THE MINORITY REPORT three clairvoyant Precogs see alternate realities in the future and the PreCrime system uses the reports to arrest people before they commit a crime. The Police Commissioner sees a prediction that he will murder someone and he tries to find the minority report that will allow him to change the future.

In RECALL MECHANISM a man has a fear of heights and falling. He goes to a doctor who takes him back through repressed memories.

THE UNRECONSTRUCTED M, is an interesting story about a machine that can leave fake forensic clues and frame someone.

In EXPLORERS WE six astronauts who died on a mission to Mars land on Earth. The humans believe that they are clones or disguised aliens and must be killed.

In WAR GAME a toy is created that will infiltrate the minds of children.

IF THERE WERE NO BENNY CEMOLI, is a story based on the idea that whatever is in the New York Times is real.

NOVELTY ACT is about a dystopian future ruled by a woman who is wife and mother to the nation.
In WATERSPIDER many famous names are dropped when time travelers come back for Poul Anderson, because they need his help.

In WHAT THE DEAD MEN SAY there is a short amount of time in which the dead can be revived. Louis Sarapis cannot be brought back but his voice appears to be coming from outer space.

ORPHEUS WITH CLAY FEET is about Jesse Slade who lives in 2040 and travels back to 1956 to inspire the writing of his favorite sci-fi author. He discloses that he is a time traveler and the writer becomes cynical and never develops his full potential.

Psychic angels are not something that most people think

This song is about a lover singing to His partner. As we are the Lord Jesus Bride, you can see that we are also in a relationship with Him.

We have to realise that Jesus watches everything in heaven. In the Book of Revelation the church that was mentioned last by Jesus was called lukewarm and he said that if they did not repent that he would spew them out of His mouth. I am not sure about you, but I know if I spewed something out of my mouth I wouldn’t want it back.

He says he has been “Watchin’ everything you do.”

What have the church been doing. What is the charge of Jesus to the church in Revelation?

Revelation 3:17
17You say, ‘I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’ But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked.
John warned us about being rich according to the things of the world.
1 John 2:15-17

15 Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world-the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life-is not of the Father but is of the world. 17 And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.

That’s a pretty strong statement saying we should not love the world or the things of the world.
It obvious when the Christians of the world are most often found to own some of the most expensive houses, cars and all other manner of things. John rebukes us for sinning with the lusts of the flesh, liking to look good, dress in the modern fashion, look good in our expensive cars, and look good in our houses. John rebukes us and not to be proud what we have achieved in life, the pride of life, he calls it.

James, the brother of Jesus makes some even stronger statements about loving the things of the world.

James 4:4

4 Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.
So how much do you have to own to be a friend of the world? Well Jesus is not happy. You can tell that the wealthy in the World don’t care about the poor that much as the poor continue to exist.

Very few people understand these days that it is possible to love God enough not to want the things of the world. When God has a big call on your life, it’s not important to have the best brands and the best of everything.

We have been sold a lie by the advertising companies of the World. For years and years we have been watching free to air Television and watching advertisements and we have been getting sold the trash of the world. We are told we will look better, smell better, be better accepted and be more successful if we own this and this.

We look at the cars that drive up our suburb and we have to have a car, ( pride of life, lust of the eyes) that looks just as good. What we don’t know what we are doing is that we are coveting and we are being taught that coveting is normal and good.

This is what God says about it.

Exodus 20:17

17 “You shall not covet your neighbour’s house. You shall not covet your neighbour’s wife, or his manservant or maidservant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbour.”
Prophets don’t seem to be teaching the church these days and telling people that a covetous people will not make it into heaven.

The other people stealing the people of God away from God are the false teachers and false men of God that are teaching the prosperity doctrine.

They teach if you give your tithes then it is quite okay to be a millionaire and have all the best things money can buy. These false teachers drive cars worth $250,000 and own houses worth multiple millions of dollars and stay in rooms that are $5000 a night when they do ministry.

Yes the advertisers of the world and the prosperity teachers of the world would get a stern rebuke from the Lord.

God wants you to repent. He wants you not only to tithe but to make sure the poor Christians of the world are being given money to support them.

I see it written in your eyes
And you confirm it with your lies

Jesus says:

You come into my presence and into my church and you sing me great love songs about how I love you. Many of you are not happy and many of you sing to feel my presence in the church and it is the only time you feel my presence when you sing

Then outside after church you get talking about how boring the message was and how this person has returned to their sin lifestyle. You get hurt by someone and rather then rebuking them in private and asking for them to repent you gossip and tell the whole church.

You tell me that you love me but you refuse to turn the other cheek. In the Old Testament you read all the promises and you claim them over your life and in the same Bible your ignore My Law and the judgements written there.

You sing that you love me and most of you don’t tithe and have clever teachers that tell you that you don’t have to tithe anymore.

You sing that you love me but you won’t deny all the lusts in your life and take up your cross and follow me.

You think that I told the rich young ruler to sell all he owns give it to the poor and follow me and think I was not saying to you.

I said if you want to follow me, you must DENY yourself, take up your cross and follow me

Following me is not singing love songs to me each week and then living in contradiction to all that I taught you to do.

Following me is being holy and loving everyone even your enemies.

Many of you tell me lies.

I would rather you not chose to tell me lies and praise my name. Don’t spend your life telling me that you honour my name and refuse to obey what I taught!

Don’t spend every prayer meeting thanking me for my cross

Use that cross, use my blood, repent and stop sinning.

Then go and give your money to the poor and lay up riches in heaven where the stock market or recession won’t get them.

You can call the worst drought in recorded history, then some big floods in the North, then the biggest fires the country has ever seen in the South, followed by two men in Sydney one day after another getting attacked by sharks bad luck, or you can admit that God’s hand of protection has lifted from Australia and God wants something said.

I feel really bad, in such a time where so many people are suffering to say that they are suffering because of an angry God. I suppose Jeremiah in the Bible felt pretty bad himself when he prophesied that the attack that was going to come to Israel was going to be so bad that women would eat their own babies, and then He had to sit there and watch it all happen as he had said.

A few years ago when a report came on Television about Australia being in the worst drought we had ever been in since they started recording the weather and things like that, the Lord Jesus told me to write an article and told me to send it to the current Prime Minister of our country.

I wrote the article about the worst drought in what they said would be a thousand years and sent it off to the postal address of the leader of my country and never got a reply. In that letter I told him the sins that the people in the Australian church were doing and how real repentance had to be done before God would heal our land.

Now things seem as though they are getting worse for this country. Not only were these fires the worst that the country has ever had, but I have never heard two days in a row people in the same city getting attacked by sharks.

The people that expound the book of Revelation have told most of those who read what they say, that judgment is only going to come to the earth when all of the Christians have gone to heaven in a rapture.

We have prosperity preachers promising people if they sow money into the right ministry God will protect them in economic hard times, but the people that swallow those lies have not read the history of Israel and how many times God judged that country in the times before Jesus.

My country’s churches are lukewarm. The West is lukewarm. Jesus promises in the Book of Revelation that He is going to spew the lukewarm church out. That’s not a church that is in heaven already that’s a disobedient, sinning, unholy., covetous church that loves the things of the world more then God, sort of church that we have in the West.

Now I don’t know about you, but when I spew something out of my life, it’s something that I am glad that it is out and it is not something that I want to consume and have back in my body. So too, Jesus when he judges this last days church that is wicked and lukewarm He is not going to invite them back to be in His body.

Like it says in John 15 ,He is going to cut the unprofitable unfruitful branches off the vine and throw them into the fire.

Take notice, God has putting his finger on Australia. It might take ten to fifteen years for Australia to get the message and the judgments might have to get harder and harder until the church in Australia calls itself to holiness and then calls the whole nation into repentance, but it will happen.

I know it will happen as a great man of God that had a great healing gift in a powerful way, prophesied that the last great revival before Jesus returned would start in Australia. Nothing short of a holy church and a real repentance will bring this to happen.

Sure as you watch the news in our country, pray for us. But be sure while ever we are lukewarm the God of the heavens will have to correct us.

Everything we do, every movement we make, everything we say, sends out energy. This energy goes out into the Universe and brings like energy back to us. If this energy is not directed in a specific
direction, it brings back to us lost car keys, flat tires, money losses, etc. So to correct this it is necessary to give a specific purpose to the energy.

It is important that this be done in writing, because it is important to keep it
and make adjustments as necessary. Be very specific what you ask for and make
very sure it is REALLY what you want. I suggest starting out with just a few
items, and adding to it over time, otherwise you could bring in too many changes
at one time. These are some suggestions of things to use:

Every time I move my arm brings back to me ______________.

Each breath I take brings back to me _________________.

Each step I take brings back to me ________________.

And, this can go on and on. What do you want to manifest? A new car? Be very
specific what kind of car, new or used, what color, etc. Do you want a
relationship with Bob or Susy? Or do you really want a relationship with someone
who makes you feel certain ways, or someone who treats you a certain way? Be
very specific. Do you want money? Don’t limit yourself by placing a specific
amount. Leave it open so Spirit can send you much more than you need. Ask
yourself what you want, then define it to what you REALLY want. And be careful
what you ask for because you will get it.

Within three months, you will notice a big difference in your life. There won’t
be as many lost car keys or flat tires. As something is manifested, take it off
of your list and replace it with something else. If within three months,
something has not manifested, ask yourself if it is really something you want Do
you need to define it better? Is it something you feel you deserve? Is it just
something that is going to take a while to manifest?

I check mine every month on full moon. I now have several pages, down to ‘Every
time a cell oxidizes…’ Each full moon, I look over it and make any changes I
feel are necessary.

The last several months have been a time of major changes for many of us. A
great number of souls made their transitions recently. It is as if there was a
wave of souls who ascended or moved to the other side to complete their
missions. There have been earth changes, new wars, unemployment, repossessions,
evictions and so many more changes.

Change is hard for us humans. We like things to stay the same, we like our ruts.
So many of us fight change. We hold on with our fingernails until we simply
cannot hold on any longer before we finally enter the door Spirit has opened for
us. A few of us open the door for ourselves and then jump, not knowing where we
will land.

Twenty two years ago, Samantha entered my life like a whirlwind, turning it
upside down, inside out and head over heels. Every time I regained my footing,
she would do it to me again. Last month, June 2006, she once again turned my life upside
down, inside out, and head over heels. I am still trying to regain my footing.

For most of Samantha’s life, we had nurses, caregivers, therapists, etc. in the

When we ask this question about psychic intuition, and where it resides, really, there is no set answer, yet we know it is there. Most of us give much importance to expand our physical, financial, spiritual parts of our lives, yet we tend to distance our selves from our psychic intuitions. I am sure we can all remember times when our loving parents advised us to follow our psychic intuitions our gut feeling. As many different people there are on this planet, that is how many ways in which a dream can be interpreted.

When I first started exploring the world of dreams I fell upon Edgar Cayce (1877
-1945). Cayce was known as the “sleeping prophet” because of his ability to
decipher individuals dreams while in a trance state. He had a seventh grade
eduation, was a seer, a clairvoyant and is well-known for predicting such events as
the World Wars and the Great Depression. I studied and used his methods for quite
some time and they were my starting point into the world of dreams. Later, I
became fascinated with the complex works of Carl G. Jung (1875 – 1961) which, for
me, took the meaning of dreams to entirely new and exciting levels. His ideas
about how dreams are the gateway to the individuation process motivated me to
look deeper into their meanings and to hold them in a special place.

If you decide to start your journey with Edgar Cayce you will find that he offered
techniques for deciphering dreams. Carl Jung, on the otherhand, does not offer a set
method of interpretation. Either way, once you start paying attention to your dreams
you will undoubtly come upon your own unique method of deciphering them.

The first thing you should do is start writing down your dreams. It does not matter
whether you remember bits and pieces or whole chunks of information, each part is
important and none should be discarded. You may also want to invest in a dream
interpretation book but always keep in mind that your own interpretation of an
image is just as relevant.

One method I have used to interpret dreams is to first write out the dream, collect
your dream interpretations and then replace each symbol with its meaning. For
example, below is a dream written out and next is the replacement of each symbol
and then a simple interpretation:

1. Dream – “I am driving a car down a bumpy road. Before me are two tunnels and I
have to choose which one to enter. I choose the right tunnel.”

2. Replacement – “I am driving a (journey) down a (challenging) (path). Before me
are (choices, conflict) (paths) and I have to choose which one to enter. I choose the
(consciousness) (path).

3. Interpretation – From the above you can decipher that you are being asked to
make a decision which up to this point has been challenging for you to get to. But
you have made it. You must choose and your choice was consciouness. This means
you have chosen to become aware of a certain aspect of yourself, your life or
situation, knowledge etc. The next step would be to find out what’s at the other end
of the tunnel. That will be revealed in the next dream

The more you tackle your dreams the more intuitive you will become about what
they mean.

Yes, I do receive guidance from my higher self, and you could interpret it as hearing voices, though the experience would be more of just knowing or receiving guidance, though a process similar to dreaming. That is to say, it would be much more multi-dimensional, using all the five senses simultaneously and operating on many levels of consciousness at the same time.

For many years, I have had the experience while falling to sleep of witnessing my thoughts forming into plans for the next day. This process seems to work best at the junction point between waking and sleeping. When the conscious mind starts to release some of its limitations and expands into its multi-dimensional nature at the onset of sleep; as I relax and start to tune into the universe, which we are all a part of, I receive guidance; this can often be like someone talking to me. However, I often have other senses as well coming in, like vision, smells and tastes. I feel this is a natural process, which we are all capable of as we relax our individual ego self into the universal Self of expanded consciousness.

When we go into deep relaxation during sleep, we release our concerns with small events of the day and our individual life force merges with the universal life force. During this process of expansion of awareness, we receive guidance via clairaudient, clairvoyant and clairsentient means. I also find I have conversations with people who are helping in my work telepathically. When we relax and are still conscious as we drift into sleep, we watch our individual mind merge with the universal mind, where all our individual consciousnesses coalesce, and energy flows. Messages are carried automatically between all the people who help with the work; I am just a silent witness to the process. I see all my problems of the day being resolved and worked out by the universal mind. I witness all the resources I need being drawn to me; I receive intuitive instructions about where to find things and the people I need to ask. It is an automatic system of flow of knowledge to achieve my goals.

There are poor people all over the place. Many of them are homeless and drug addicted and not in good health. There are hundreds and thousands of people without medical insurance in the USA. And there are billions of poor people living in the world. There are great companies that know poor people in other countries that can get your money to them.

2. Faith

If we think of faith in Christ as an intellectual assent or a set of beliefs held only in the mind, James, the brother of Jesus, summarily dispossesses us of that idea. He emphasizes the active nature of faith in a passage that is strikingly parallel to the 1 John 3 passage cited above. Faith, like love, compels us to respond to human need:

What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him? Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to him, “Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. James 3:14-17 NIV

You can be sure God will see it.

4. Jesus Christ’s Association with the Poor

Jesus spent much of his life on earth seeking out the poor, the needy and the outcasts of society. He so closely associated with the destitute that he told his disciples that the way they relate to the hungry, the poor and even prisoners is the way he considers them to be relating to him.

“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

“Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

“The King will reply, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.’” Matthew 25:35-40 NIV

The most common cause that is typically seen in patients who develop leg cramps is exercising in an unusual way, meaning either more activity or a different exercise. You will start feeling better very quickly.

Take 500mg of calcium and magnesium every evening. This will help stop the cramping as these minerals have a significant relaxing affect on the muscles.

Eat a diet with lots of fresh green vegetables. These vegetables uncooked have tremendous amounts of minerals that will feed the muscles. Today’s diet is greatly lacking in fresh vegetables and fruits. The water that’s contained in vegetables and fruit has the greatest absorption of minerals into the body.

It’s critical that you take a digestive enzymes capsule every time you eat to optimize the absorption of the foods you are consuming. Without enzymes your body cannot absorb food. This is one of the reasons that people are constantly hungry – their body is no longer producing enzymes in their stomach.
