The Anti Forces of Positive Change

We all just do not like changes. Comfort zone is the name of our common homes. In life, we are often forced by external pressures so as to change, otherwise, we will always be in the inertia state. That’s a famous physics law, isn’t it? It applies to humans too!
Just to take a good example. My friends in my ex office had always been talking about changing to a new working environment because by staying at my ex office was stagnating their career lives. Yes, they were always talking about that when I was there, and when I had left the company, they were still there complaining, citing job market was not that positive for them to change job now. However, I beg to differ. My old workplace was an ideal place for someone who wished to work in their comfort zone. As long as you do your designated tasks, you would be fine. That created a very laid back mindset in the people there, and as time passed, the fear of going out of this comfort zone got the better of the people, even though the work could be monotonous.
But recently I met an ex office buddy. He had been laid off, because major changes were coming from the top, but luckily, he managed to find another job within three months and survived on his ample compensation packages. He told me it was really good to work at a new environment. New bosses, new faces and new location. Life was like beginning again! And the retrenchment was in fact a blessing in disguise!
What I mean here is the fear of unknown is the main reason why people resist changes. Heard of “do not rock the boat”, or “don’t fix it if it ain’t broke”?
No matter where you are, changes will come your way. That’s how our societies have progressed over the span of human civilizations throughout history. Rather than being “forced” to change, why not readjust the mindset and consider to accept changes “voluntarily”?
Yes, through our visions and dreams.
Our dreams provide us with the vision . But always remember and acknowledge that there is always an equal and opposite force that tries to derail your dreams. These are very strong anti forces that tell us how stupid you are and how impossible these dreams are. So it is important that if you are dreaming of making a change in your life, try spend some times daily visualizing and envisioning the fruits of your dream.
Enjoy the experience of positive changes in your life!
